Nice ride! Since we are off topic, a friend of mine (who has way more discretionary cash than I do) just picked up a mint Norton 850 commando. Black, chrome and gold leaf lettering. Certainly not in the same class as your Guzzi request but a classic none the less.

Nicely done. I recognised it as based on the 175 Lodola.

"Note that in the 2011 Mecum Monterey auction, this bike sold for $7,000. Now, the seller (in Addison, Texas) wants $11,980 or best offer here on eBay."

That's what I guessed. There's a Lodola on Craiglist right now. Seller wants nearly as much as the race bike sold for in 2011 - $6500.
I love the Moto Guzzi V8 and love this little homage bike. A replica V8 that was put together by some ex-Guzzi people sold for $240K this year. I can't even imagine what one of the original V8s would sell for.

Maybe when I finish my Superhawk it will be time to look for a Guzzi...

FWIW, He just completed one and it is for sale ;-)

Some may know Paul from the 80's/90's.... He was the man behind Brodie Bikes.

Doc, if you ever want to see one in person, let me know. I can arrange it. Paul's shop is located in Langley BC, just across the border.
Come up for a Sunday ride!
His shop is something else. Lots of cool bikes like an Aermacchi and a 1888 Whippet that won People Choice Award at North American Handmade Bike Show.

Paul is a frequent racer at the Ridge. He races a bike he built himself... even the motor.

Mike

Probably a good thing we live across the country from each other, Mikey. Otherwise you would probably have even more audio gear and I would have even more motorcycles...

In that case I'll take a red one. Tell FEDEX to leave it at the brewery next door if we're not here.

Dude, you so rock! Thanks!
