Norwegian Mainline finished with Bottlehead Logo

I still cant decide where to put the Bottlehead badge on my Mainline...

How did you like the French polishing?

I think learning to use Shellac is great, it is clearly a craft of its own.
One that I definitely don't fully master yet and keep getting better at.
It takes a very long time, so it is good to have an alternative base so You can
listen to the amp while working the polish. You have to let it sit for about 3 weeks
not to get indentions from cables and such resting on the base.

The stain I use and the shellac are both dissolved in alcohol, so to get a very deep
red/brown stain, I have actually mixed the two components.
I have sanded twice, before laying on and rubbing out the final coats.
Then I have used a polisher disc attached to the chuck of my drill to make
the surfaces extremely smooth to the touch and shiny.
I have not used pumice or mineral oil during this work.
