I noticed your avatar and thought I would share... I built this not too long ago. The enclosure is East Indian rosewood. The Nixies are IN-14. Enjoy

Those are my favorites.  They were in the SAE MK VI Tuner.  The box is really nice, good grain there.

I have a different one and will add to the thread when I take a picture.  Mine doesn't have much space between the hours, minutes and seconds so it is not immediately recognizable as being the time. 
 
Nixies are cool 8)

Russian IN-8-2 tubes, the photos really don't do them justice, i found it rather tricky to capture them on camera.

I just wanted to say, try as I may, with flash, without flash, on a tripod, handheld I could not get a good picture of the Nixie tubes in my clock.
 
Here is a nixie on steroids. Dekatrons to boot! This was built by a coworker's friend. Way too much time on his hands...
