Newbie needs help, Foreplay II amp recommendations...

Hi Everyone, Newbie here looking for some help.  I picked up a Foreplay II and I would like some affordable tube amp recommendations.  I have 97db Zu Omen speakers so high power is not required and I want to try an all tube set up.  Budget is $300 - $1,000, new or use, prefer the used gear.  SET or Push Pull and I could go with a few watts or something higher like 40 wpc.  I am concerned about the Hair Trigger issue when you have a bad Preamp / Amp match, ran into that before and it was a PIA.  Thanks in advance!

The Stereomour II would be a great choice.  You could use it with or without the Foreplay, but on its own the hair trigger issue is absent.

What I would recommend staying as far away from as possible would be amplifiers with more than about 20dB of gain, that will make the Foreplay pretty useless and is made worse by highly sensitive speakers.
