My first build was a Crack/Speedball

The bell is painted a hammered black and the base is finished in English Chestnut stain. I had an aluminum volume knob in my spares box so I fitted that too. Otherwise bone stock (but it has the CS4 kit and I await the impedance switch kit)

That's a nice finish on the base.  What did you use?

Minwax English Chestnut penetrating stain then I hit it with a couple coats of semi gloss poly
