I'm checking everything as I assemble. This is a 33k resistor but measures 1.6 ohms. This is the first issue I've had so far. Bad resistor or getting a pathway somehow through the pot ? Thanks.
Answered my own question. I removed the unsoldered side, checked it and it read correctly. Must have been getting a path somehow through the pot back to the resistor.
If the pot is turned all the way in one direction, the center lug and an outer lug will be connected together, which is likely what you're encountering.
