I have a Moreplay that's stock except for the cathode bypass capacitor, plate resistor, and output capacitor, which have been replaced with the following, respectively: Elna Silmic II 220uF/16vdc, Mills MRA12 10k/12w, and a Soviet made K75-10 2.2uf/500V cap. The problem I'm trying to troubleshoot is fluctuating gain, like somebody is slowly and occasionally adjusting the volume up and down while listening. The effect is subtle. Things are working normally, and then I notice the music just got louder. I turn it down, then minutes later I notice it's now too low, and I need to compensate again. This cycle repeats a few times over an hour or so. I checked all voltages yesterday at 5 minute intervals over 30 minutes, and all were within normal range with very little fluctuation. There are no other audible problems. It sounds great except for this fluctuating gain. Before I start swapping out the non-stock parts, I wanted to see what the experts think. Thanks for your help.
