The Meat of it: So . . . I have about a hundred LPs that are duplicates and I am going to give them to the Bottleheads. Most are clean, newer replacements I bought for older LPs that I thought would be ruined by now. Some are the originals I bought that I have a 180g/200g or 45 RPM version of now. Some are the new 180g/200g reissues that I prefer the originals to. Some of the old ones are not in good condition, I'll call those out.
I'm asking for the USPS media mail cost and PayPal fee only. I have many, many mailer boxes saved. I will send Media Mail with USPS Tracking ($0.90, included in the prices). One or two pieces of vinyl (double albums are two) $4.05 up to 2 pounds, $4.55 for 3 or 4 pieces of vinyl.
Anyone interested, post asking for the album(s) you want. You can also PM, please entitle it "Almost Free LPs". I'm looking at every LP before listing them here but if you ask me to spot play one, I will happily do so. I love this music, that is why I have duplicates!
2/12/13:
Joni Mitchell, Court And Spark, older copy VG to VG+
Jimmy Buffett, You Had To Be There, live recorded after the Margarativille album, 2 LPs, VG
Boone Creek, S/T, Bluegrass VG+
11/13/12 (only maybe a couple of dozen after these and the thread will be locked):
Harry Belafonte At Carnegie Hall, 2 LPs, VG++, the album with "Day-Oh" on it, possibly an original pressing, but very early if not.
Alan Stivell, Renaissance De La Harpe Celtiquie (Renaissance of the Celtic Harp, import), VG. (On Hold)
The Mamas & The Papas, Farewell To The First Golden Era, VG, repressing of the 4th album.
Harry James & His Big Band, The King James Version, VG+, Sheffield Direct To Disk mastered.
Dreck you don't have to read: Some will get an album with a post-it with "+Phase" or "-Phase" on it. That is the Absolute Phase. Since I built everything from the cartridge forward I know my system inverts absolute phase (all Foreplays invert, Seduction, Eros, SEX, Paramours, Stereomours and Paramounts do not invert). I just swap the speaker wires on my Paramours. Some folks hear it, some don't. Don't worry.
"AIVS" on the post-it means it was cleaned with the Audio Intelligent Vinyl Solution 2 step cleaning system. VPI RCF means it was cleaned with VPI Record Cleaning Fluid. TB II means it was cleaned with Titebond II wood glue.
Some have thick poly outer sleeves, some not. Some have "rice paper" inner sleeves, some not. It is a crap shoot but I'm not removing any of these. What you get is what I have.
