Love Kitten Article from Valve

Does someone has the love kitten article from Valve?

Keto and I have been experimenting with attenuators after transformers -with much success methinks-  and would love to have a copy of the article. If someone could scan the article and send it to me I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

ps I don't know who wrote it!

The link is long dead, and I can't find the article among my old files. But Shawn Micheal's referenced post reminded me of what it was. Very very simple - just a B7 15K:500 transformer, followed by a 500 ohm potentiometer. It's only useful if you have way too much gain, but many systems do have way too much gain. Running the volume control at a low impedance of 500 ohms gives it much more drive. Many observers have found low-impedance level controls to sound better, though except for the drive current available there are no really plausible theories as to why.

Thanks Paul and Shawn,

That's what I'm running right now, a 15K:600 Cobalt B7 with a 680 ohm resistor across the secondaries. It sound's really nice and gives me more than enough gain (or ungain!) in my system. I'm about to order a 1K Penny and Giles pot -no 600 available-. My idea is to use this transformer/pot combination as part of an active preamp but since it sounds so good I'll include a switch to bypass the active circuit and go directly from the pot to the output.
