Hi everybody,
One year ago i build my first crack. It did not take long before the first modifications where a fact, which made me wonder....how far can i go?
first crack next to second crack (off/standy mode)
both cracks on
second crack can be opened via installed actuator to acces the tubes
peltier cooling provides additional cooling and is attached to the lid
uncompleted inside
I know it might not count as a crack anymore in regard to the looks, but here are some tech specs you will recognize:
- SPEEDBALL (but not constantly)
- TOROIDAL TRANSFORMER
- CREE SCHOTTKY DIODES
- JANTZEN CAP (3x in pwr supply)
- TRIAD-C7X CHOKES (2x)
- CLARITY CAP (2x)
- STEPPED ATTENUATOR
- 5998 & mullard TUBE (but not constantly
)
And many more alien to the crack: display, arduino, electric actuator, vu meter, logics, thermo electric/peltier cooling, fans, relays, diy pcb's, etc
Let me know what your first impression is,
and thank you bottlehead for designing such a great amp!
