In An Effort To Make This A Music Oriented Folder....

I'm looking for original pressings of old solo P. Simon LPs.  The Graduate Soundtrack came up.

Question:  Do you think the shapely leg on the cover belongs to Anne Bancroft?

Really musical, isn't it?  Maybe leg oriented.

Craig,

You dodged the question all together.  And I thought you would have been hormonally boosted when the movie came out.

Ok ... I must confess. One of my brothers and I used to fight over the leg.
We did have the album, and we both did listen to it a lot.
He's a year older than me, and the statement, 'older brother gets the leg first' was always a sore spot.
I guess that's why I didn't bring it up.
I bet he still has the album. Probably has the leg too.

Ahh, but that cover was nothing compared to the Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass lp "Whipped Cream and Other Delights." I would fantasize as a teenage about licking the whipped cream off of that beautiful body!

From IMDB:

In the famous promotional still for this film, Dustin Hoffman is seen in the background framed by Mrs. Robinson's shapely leg. The leg in that photo didn't belong to Anne Bancroft, however; it belonged to a then-unknown model, Linda Gray, who later played Mrs. Robinson in a London stage musical of The Graduate.

Too much information !!!

The model for the cover was 3 months pregnant at the time, and the 'whipped cream' was actually shaving cream.  Wouldn't have tasted so good...

It was a full 20 years later that I realized that the "whipped cream" all around the bottom was a white blanket with a little cream spread on it.

I hadn't looked that far down the album cover.

Shaving cream, whipped cream, sea foam, etc....I think just being a foot from the real thing would not have only blinded me, but would have destroyed my sense of taste as well!
