I rebuilt my Quickie

I did a quickie a couple of years ago.  I wasn't happy on how it turned out (my fault, screwed a couple of things up, and made a couple of bad choices).  I decided to rebuild it, and I feel it now has looks to match the sound quality it produces.  I started with a cigar box that I knew would be a little small, but it was the closest size the cigar shop had out at the time.  It was too small but I went on anyway, thinking of putting the batteries in a second box.  Once I got to the point I needed the second box, I went back.  The selection of boxes they had was pretty thin.  The manager asked me what I was doing with them, and he got excited and compiled cigars so I could have the box I used for the batteries.  He even suggested a lager size to get the entire build in one box.  I didn't want to start over and already had the parts for the umbilical.

I had the caps around.  They are to just to smooth out the the power.  Not really necessary, but I figured they wouldn't hurt (I hope).  I plan to put silicone on the contacts so I don't surprise myself someday.

Batteries don't have any ripple to smooth out.

Man, I just couldn't be more impressed. This, of course, gives me new ideas, that will surely not let me rest.  It just makes more sense to have 2 boxes(especially when it comes to cigar boxes). Not so much cramping, and though not necc., I like a separate power supply.Good thing I have an ample supply of boxes. "Just what do you plan to do with all these boxes?" my wife queries, "INDEED!' I reply. "Igor, bring the boxes to the lab."  "Yes master(Take the boxes here, put the boxes there, to the lab with the boxes, geeez)."
