Holiday Libation Thread

Today Christmas at my Brother-In-Law's.  Deb, he is the eye cutter.

I'll get some Weigel's or Mayfield's Egg Nogg on the way over and take some Bourbon to mix in it.  Lots of insulin to knock the blood sugar down too.
 
Tower 10 IPA for me. I just got back from a walk on the beach. I do love the weather here in Carlsbad, and all the microbews.
 
Just ate the duck and the wonderful baked Brussels sprouts.  Bought a tub of hot buttered rum batter. 

Time to que up my fav 1951 scrooge with Allistair Sim, boil some water and make my first hot buttered rum!
 
I must have been good this year, Santa brought me a nice selection of Belgian Trapist ale ;D...John
 
Speaking of Belgium.. I was invited to my Belgian friend's house for Christmas dinner... He and his wife just got back from a stint in Thailand.. He bought brussell sprouts in Thailand and smuggled them through Indonesian customs...Haha.. I never have had illegal, smuggled b sprouts before.. But, you know something?? I think they tasted a little sweeter... :)
 
Well the Glenmorangie has all gone  :'( but as luck would have it Santa left me a little present so I can see in the New Year with a wee dram  ;D. This should see me through to next Christmas!

Gotta love Knob Creek. It's like half the price of Blantons and very very good. A little too good, the stuff is very flavorful and needs just a wee bit of water. One ice cube is perfect as long as you don't let it melt more than half way - :)
