Good New for Floyd fans

Thanks, Steve -- I'll definitely be waiting for this.  I was just actually looking around  for the current box set, but aside from all the extra tracks and rarities, I'm sure there will be a lot of care put into remastering these old recordings for the hi-res age.

I don't see any mention of HQ vinyl though -- not that it matters to me, but I'm sure there are others waiting for more of those releases too.

Thanks Steve!

Jim, there is a thread on AA about this.  Someone mentioned there is going to be a vinyl release with it.  Either hi rez or vinyl would be fine by me :)

Hi Aaron,

Thanks, but at least as far in the future as I can tell, I probably won't be getting back into vinyl -- unless I come into a huge inheritance from somebody I don't even know :-).  And at this point, tape would probably be first anyway.  Saving my pennies for the BH dac right now -- also meaning that I just got the last of the parts for my Cornwall rebuild ordered today.

Talk to you soon,

Jim

A seven-disc reissue of The Wall? Five discs of Wish You Were Here? I don't know if I can handle that. Having the discography in AIFF right now is good enough for me, but I said that about the Beatles hi-res reissue too.

Speaking of the Beatles,.. do you have the Apple Corps thumb drive thingy? If so, what do you think?
I've come close to getting it on eBay a couple of times but I've always "missed by that much"!

The new 24 bit tracks are really amazing. I had the newest re-master before that of all the albums at their highest format. This still blew them away. I would recommend it highly.

Steve, I finally picked up the mono set a couple of weeks ago.  Everyone has toted how wonderful they are and such.  Personnaly they sound alright but I realized after listening to a few that I'm just not that big of a Beatles fan.  Thankfully I waited until it was half price!
