Fuse blown on input voltage check - RESOLVED

Just tried to check the input voltage on my crack build, but as soon as the power went ‘hot’ I saw a white flash at the live terminal (I think) and the fuse has blown.

My soldered connections look ok to me (complete novice so I could be wrong) attached photos so those more experienced can educate me if necessary

Also included a photo showing separation between alligator clips so pretty sure it wasn’t a short between them.

Have I potentially got the ‘red’ lead in the wrong socket of the multimeter? Would this affect anything other than not giving a reading?

Will buy some new fuses but need to rectify before going hot again.

Retook the resistance readings across the power switch and the still show 0.0 ohm and overlimit so confident power switch hasn’t blown.

Ready to learn

Thank you in anticipation

Replaced the fuse and correctly installed the probes in the multimeter and everything was fine.

I had my red lead in the wrong socket on my multimeter!
