The ECC83 is a European number for a 12AX7

Can the JJ's I listed be used in the FP?

Actually the second and third tubes I listed I actually only found 1 of each so far.

A 12AX7 will not work properly in the Foreplay, and is really not a tube you would want in a linestage.

Okay thanks. Will try to get some 12su7's then. Kinda stoked about rolling some different tubes in this preamp.

Would love to have a tube preamp to go along with it. But funds do not permit that at the moment. But I am happy for the moment.

Which 12AU7's came with your Foreplay?

I got it from a member at the DIYaudio forum, already assembled. Came with HP5963's.

Ok, tested out some Lowery 12au7's today in the Foreplay. I can not really tell a difference in them from the 5963's.
