Hi always good to see another UK builder

Thats nice looking Crack and a super idea to use the hard drive mounting brackets I'm going to pick a few of them up they are sure to come in handy on future projects.

Over the weekend I rolled in a Raytheon 6080 and I wasn't convinced by it but on Sunday tried a RCA cleartop which improved things...

And today had the day off work so replaced the last resistor in the power supply with a choke..
I know it's not the first mod most people do but as its one of the cheaper mods decided to do this first..

This weeks changes are Jantzen Crosscaps they were a very tight fit and I decided to use XT60 connectors to make it easier if I decide to try any other capacitors at a later date..

Not a lot of room left in my crack now..
Think I will spend a while enjoying it now...

Nice set up I had a Crack with similar mods which made for a great sounding combination the mods took my T1’s to whole different level, adding the Teflons was the icing on the cake.

Enjoy your amp

I tried to way up the cost of each mod vs the cost of the crack so have tried to be as frugal as possible.
Think I have spent about £100 or there abouts including postage to end up with something that far outperforms its price tag but the Standard Crack outperforms its price tag and the Speedball is definitely the most worthwhile mod to my ears...
have probably spent around the same on tubes as well though so can start playing with different combinations..
I did swap out my Starting Point Systems DAC3 for a Meridian Director from my main system but it didn't last long and the DAC3 is back.
