Finished my First Quickie

It really is a very simple procedure.  I used my volt ohm meter to figure out the starting point as mentioned by Graniger.  To start to the volume knob all of the way down.  Then with your volt ohm meter start turning the knob and measure the resistance.  The input gets connected to the lower side of the voltage range.  Where I got stuck was on the ground.  I ended up fixing the ground to the last resistor in the chain.  I guarantee I am not explaining myself well.  I am packing for vacation now.  If I have time this evening I will try to snap a few more pictures. Again the ground is the thing that through me for a loop.  Also, I took measurements of the existing pot while it was still intalled to educate myself.

I am new to this DIY stuff and it is fun.

I was leafing through the Technitool catalog and noticed they sell copper tape to use as emi shielding. Would the combination of tape and copper fitting create a faraday cage, especially if you grounded the copper? Btw, love the idea so I'm going to borrow it for my amps, plus I love the color of copper.
