Eros Tape and Sex2.1

Just posting a pic of my reel to reel rig - The Eros Tape and Sex 2.1 for headphone listening sit under my Revox PR99 on a custom trolley.  The Revox has been modified with direct head out.  Both Eros and Sex builds went well, have had a bit of fun rolling tubes on the Eros and have settled on NOS GEC CV4085 which have given a very low background noise.  Have a little mains hum I am hunting down in the Sex, only audible at low listening levels through my headphones.
The Eros and Sex complement each other - very happy!

Damn that's a nice set up, its these sort of posts than can lead to hitting ones wallet pretty hard!

Looks awesone, Matt. I would suggest wiring the S.E.X. amp outputs for 4 ohms if you have plenty of range on the volume control. That will minimize hum thru headphones.

Modified the transformers for 4 ohms - vast improvement on hum.  Thanks for this Doc.

Last job on the rig is to mount a power board/filter on the back of the shelf to clean up the power leads and that's it (apart from maybe some capacitor rolling and resistor change outs at some point, though it's hard to believe the gains will be significant given SQ now...)
