Distortion when connecting to new amp

Hi Everyone

Can anyone shed any light with this ?
I've an upgraded Moreplay, which has been connected to both an Icon Audio 300b amp and also an Optonica SM-4646 (not at the same time) with no problems at all. I had the volume on the Moreplay at full gain and adjusted the volume on the 300b or the Optonica.
I've now acquired an Advance Paris A10 Apex amp and when I connect the Moreplay to it via Aux 1 in the same way the sound is distorted, any ideas ?

It's possible that there's a limit to the amount of voltage you can feed into the input of the A10. If you have a relatively potent source and you turn the volume of the Moreplay up to full blast, that is an unreasonable amount of signal relative to what a designer of an integrated amplifier might expect.

The SEX 4 is a great pairing with it, but the Kaiju should work as well. The Stereomour has a volume control and source control built-in already so it's a little bit of a hat on a hat.

If you have a special interest in a 2A3 amp, I use my Moreplay with a Stereomour, which I built custom without the volume or source selection. Because, as Jameson mentioned it would otherwise be a hat on a hat situation. If I were doing it again I might leave the volume control in because it would make for an easy way to adjust sensitivity of the Stereomour. I had to do that with hard-wired voltage divider resistors to best match the Moreplay gain. They pair extremely well.
