defective part in kit

Started putting my kit together one of the four pin tube sockets does not fit in the hole.  It is too large.  Tried a little wax but did not want to force it.  Any suggestions.  Thanks.

We can send you a replacement if necessary. Unfortunately, those sockets have grown by over 1 mm in the last two years. If you're in a hurry, a round file can be used to enlarge the hole.

I have use a rat tail file, like Paul suggested. Just keep working the opening until it fits (did not take me long)

Same issue here, one 4-pin socket was a perfect fit, the other is way too large.
Also, one 9-pin socket was too large for the hole & the same for one of the 9-pin sockets on my Reduction.

I'm reluctant to file out the hole as it then gets quite close to the mounting screw hole.
I have a bunch of 9-pin sockets from ebay, so just found ones that would fit. So, just ordered some of the 4-pin sockets as well, they're cheap enough at about $2 each.

That's good to know on the 9 pin sockets.  I can run through our stock of sockets to see if yours was just a random problem, or if I need to enlarge the chassis hole.

Got the 4-pin sockets from China today. All are a perfect fit in the BeePre chassis plate, & look a little better quality than the supplied ones.

I did end up enlarging the 4 pin socket holes on our kits up another 0.5mm.  Most of our 4 pin sockets fit, but most of them were pretty tight.  (A year ago, they would slip in quite easily)

Have you checked out the 9-pin sockets as well? As I mentioned I had 2 that would not fit without modification.

for me 9-pin sockets were fine, and 1 4-pin needed a small amount of filing.  It literally took me 1 minute of filing and it fit nice.  No sharp edges or burrs left.  I used a chainsaw sharpening file.
