Crack is addictive

Love my Crack and have been chasing the elusive Western Electric 421A for ages.  Just captured one on ebay.  Cost almost as much as the amp with Speedball.  In fact I bought one of the specials and it costs the same as both.

Curse you Bottlehead and your great addictive gear.

Indeed! I have now bought NOS tubes (Mullard 12au7 and I snagged a 5998)- those 2 tubes cost 55% of what the entire Crack cost, but I am still all smiles because I know that for under $500 I have a killer amp for my HD600's. I almost pulled the trigger on a Bryston at more than twice the price!
