Right now by an SAE 2200. I'm thinking about tri-amping. Solid state for the bass, 2A3 for the mids and 6DN7 for the tweeters.

Beautiful!  Tri-amped sounds like Coytee's Bi-amped Klipsch Jubilees which I heard several times before his move from East TN.

I do bi-amp the Jubs in my home theater by way of an active crossover (EV DX-38).

Those are amazingly cool. I've never heard a mid-range horn. How would you characterize the sound? I have heard that with the Lowther PM4A a midrange horn helps with the rising spl as the frequency increases.

For me, it is an open natural sound with depth. It just sounds real.
