cleaning flux

Hi,

I recently tinned some wires, and noticed that there is an excess of flux on them.  What is the easiest way to clean it off?  Thanks,

I use 99% isopropyl alcohol and an old tooth brush.

Is 70% IPA high enough?  Got some of that at home.
