Bottlehead LineUp

Just posting a pic of my BH lineup, simplified down to these and moving them to there own cabinet.  Not shown is a Fix, it's undergoing a little dieting surgery to fit into a smaller enclosure.  No stains or varnish yet, can't settle on anything.

Alonzo,

I got it open now.  Nice work.  I put some of those tube "shields" around non shielded tubes on my FP 2.

As always, nice work.

Thanks Grainger!  Not as pretty as other peoples work but the sure sound good!

The middle one is a 45 version Stereomour, Dowdy chokes up front, Psvane 45's and power supply chokes on top, nickel MQ outputs and bypassed caps below.

Hi
The Dowdy chokes replaced the normal plate chokes which were reused in the power supply instead of the resistors. CLC instead of CRC.  Forgot about the grid chokes that are underneath also (exposed terminations).

I can't tell you the mechanics, one of the experts may chime in, but for me the it's a sweeter sound.  I run them into full range horns so I have great mid range, but this gives the kick lower that I need for ordinary (non male/female vocals) music and the extension into the higher ranges to support guitar/piano/flute upper notes.  I've a limited range to compare to, only Hammond and BH chokes but I prefer the Dowdy's.  It gives me the best listening experience for the range of music I listen to, I've yet to say "Wow, this sucks" because the amp can't handle the complex passage or clear note (I play TexMex to Toccata and Fugue to Phantom and have no problems;  rocking "Pride and Joy" for the neighborhood right now).
