Blown Resistor [resolved]

I checked all the resistances on my paramount and they were in range.  So I plugged it in to power it up for the first time to check voltages and the 90.9 ohm 1/8W resistor (90R9) in position R1 on the Active Load PC board started smoking and blew.  Triple checked all my connections which look correct.  Any ideas what could have caused this?  Could it be a faulty resistor?

No, if the resistor was faulty, other parts would pop.

If 17 and 18 aren't soldered together well, components on the driver board will blow.

Also check for backwards capacitors and missing and/or miswired jumpers.

If you switched where those wires connected, your best bet is going to be to contact replacement parts for a new soft start PC board and parts.
