BH 5 with bcp 15 choke

I have the bottlehead upgrade iron for the paramour and my question is if I upgrade my OPT what are my options using the BCP15 choke which I am using now. I am thinking of Nickel opts as a upgrade to my amps,using 45 tubes,but i am hoping to use the chokes I have.  Jann Olsen

Thought you got a pair of EXO-050's  on AA?  I am running Paramour 45's with EXO-45Ni and BCP-15.  This was a tremendous upgrade.  Everything got better...timbre, imaging, soundstage, frequency extension.  I am going to replace the cathode cap and the PS 47uf caps with oilers, but the additional improvement is likely to be rather subtle!  Hard to imagine the amps getting much better!!

Iron trumps caps every day.  But you will almost certainly like the results.

Dude, the honest truth is I don't even know what I am running anymore.  Paramounts got a full upgrade from Magnequest.  Transformers and some chokes, the numbers escape me but full nickel on the OPTs and amp is now in 45 mode.  I'm happy.

I am running 2a3s in my paramours. so what I am looking to do is use the bcp 15 and an upgraded opt. What would be my options?

The MagneQuest EXO-35 (16 Ohms) or EXO-36 (8 Ohms) are both good 2A3 output transformers.  Both are available for $180 in all nickel.  (if you are looking for the best, smoothest sound)

That is the combo I using in my SR45 Amps, it works great
