My BeePre is coming along pretty well so far. Those transformers were a little tricky to mount, I have to say :o

I have some sweet Jupiter caps in store. Stay tuned :D

Great look - Awesome rivets! I am building mine now too. I noticed the rubber ring under the tube socket - good time to put that in!
What is the extra terminal strip in the inputs for?

It looks like your going with the BeeQuiet during the initial build.  While usually not recommended by BH, I will say the BQ made a huge improvement in my BeePre.

Thanks for your great comments guys (my fellow Bottlehead enthusiasts ;D). I'm a sucker for browns, tans and copper colors, anything on the warmish side.

I decided to use Teflon sockets for this build as they dampen to some degree (for the big 300Bs). The teflon sockets are notably smaller than the stock sockets, so in order to get them installed and not to fall through the other side, I had to use the o-rings, which is serendipitous anyway as they decouple the sockets from the chassis. After installing, I noted that the round headed screws interacted with the 300B base, so I swapped them out for flush mounted screws. While not as pretty, they offer the necessary clearance.

The additional terminal strip is actually for the input transformer, so I can have a balanced input.

It would be cool if BH had a secondary manual for those of us who purchased the BQ with the kit, however I figure as long as I'm careful I'll work things out.

Wow.  Makes mine look like a hack job.  :o
Hack? Looking under the hood off your Stereomour I doubt it. You should see my quickie build talking about hack. So much for all niter's.

no self deprecating comments allowed! ;) Marantzfan I'm sure your Stereomore rocks, was trying to find pics but didn't see any, put one up!

I was actually referring to my recent builds; BeePre, Paramounts and Eros.

I need to post some pictures the next time I disconnect them.  :)

Thanks for the compliment.  That Stereomour was actually my first Bottlehead build.  One thing that cannot be overstated about any build; take your time.  Don't try to rush.

Never thought of rivets as decoration. Great idea. I even have access to one at work.
Just finished mounting my hardware except for the large tube sockets.lots of teflon.

Hi HF9,

I would love to see some pictures of how you get the Jupiter HT capacitors to fit in there.  Would you mind showing how you make them fit.

Thanks!....Dave

Where there's a will, there's a way! I'm sure I will work something out. Been a little busy with business and studies but will update this thread shortly.
