5998 Tung-Sol Chatham Tube?

  I have the crack ,with speedball amp
Can anyone verify that the Tung-Sol 5998 Chatham tube will work on this amp??
The salesman form  VacuumTubes.net,suggested I verify this before ordering.
Anyone know?
And,is it a strong tube??
