White RCA Center Pin Resistance Issues [resolved]

All,

My uncle (an EE) and I just build the Crack today and all our resistance readings check out...except for the white RCA center pin reading.  It reads as an open circuit.

We have gone through and checked the wiring and solder joints numerous times now.  Everything looks okay.

What could be causing this and how do we fix it?  Could it be the potentiometer itselft?

How about the outer lugs on the potentiometer itself?  Did you install the jumper between the ground lugs of the potentiometer?

Thanks for the quick response. What do you mean by jumper? We have all the wires in the right place. When we put the potentiometer in it just popped in and we screwed a nut on.

So guys, if I short the potentiometer leads the upper black and the lower black the center pin reading on the RCA plugs give me a reading of 94.9 ohms if I take the short off, the center pin on the white wire reads open. 

I'm wondering if I need to short the two grounds on the potentiometer?

Nevermind! We figured it out!  We did miss bringing the black wire up to the top rung of the potentiometer to ground.
