What kind of fuse to a purchase (I've lost mine)?

I've just finished my crack, and was conducting a Voltage check - then was wondering why all my Volage is at zero.

Then I forgot that I hadn't put in the fuse... like a dummy... tried to find a new one... couldn't find it.... so I need to get a new one

I've looked at radioshack.com, and found a couple@250V.  Which Ampere model should I purchase?

I would love to see a table of fuses by product.  Maybe a "pin" in tech topics.  Model, fuse value, and maybe part number for popular manufacturers would be awesome.  I started one for myself as an evernote document so I would always have easy access.

I believe everything now ships with a 1A fast blow, except the Steremour, which is 1.5A. 

The fuse size is GMA.

Thanks for the responses.

I'd like to (if possible), just buy one from radioshack to save time for shipping & handling.  I searched for 1A fast fuse and these are the only ones that showed up.  But neither of these seem to fit my needs, right?

You can just bring the little fuse holder to Radio Shack to grab one, but a GMA fuse is a 5mm x 20mm fuse.

Lowes and Home Depot also tend to have these fuses.

Or... you could buy a 'boutique' fuse. I know this discussion is for those 21 yo and older, with extraneous bucks on hand, limited functioning brain cells etc. IMO, I like the HiFi Tuning fuses. I have them throughout my kit. Just a thought. Not saying that its a good thing to join the boutique club. Many dangers etc.

I can understand a boutique fuse in a speaker, but why in a power inlet jack? (Serious question.)

Good question Adam, my friend. Where I first started 'experimenting' with such fuses was in my Transporter (DAC). It was noticeable. Its along the line of power cables etc. For me, it was $20, so it was something I could check off my compulsion list. I have about 6 of such fuses in service to date. I completely x'd out the fuse in my speakers. I like living on the edge.

It's funny you guys bring up the hi-fi fuses because I've just bought myself a pair of speakers that have two of these hi-fi tuning fuse in that are about 50 bucks a pop in them.

They hold the same size / voltage as the one the crack uses - I might just give it a try just for the heck of it.

I went to the radioshack and bought myself one.  The amp is fully functional now and sounds phenomenal.
