So I ordered this kit in hopes of having it built, as I have never touched a soldering iron or a multimenter. After a long day last week, and a bourbon, went on Amazon Prime and bought a Weller station, a Fluke, solder etc. After most of Saturday and a few hours today I am in heaven. Had the HD800s from a work contest... without amp they're ok. Bought a Matrix M-Stage and they sound pretty good. Hooked up to the crack they sound amazing. Everything from Daft Punk, Floyd, Miles and Black Keys is so good. So I'm not telling you anything you don't know, however I hope this is encouraging to anyone who hesitated even for a second that they don't have the skillset to put one together.
Cousin is giving me a custom made base for Christmas as he's a woodworker so here are the pics from today... 2 weeks the Speedball will be in with a new base. I'm hooked!
