Here is the Quickie done my way. Here you can see the aluminum knob I used and the allen button head bolts.

Ok, forget seeing the SAE rack or the big rig with the CLSs, now I want to see your wood working shop!

Beautiful work as always.

The cabinet is not all that difficult. I started with some MDF that I cut down after I had marked the arc I wanted.

I held the two sides together with the aid of my air nailer and then sanded the curve with my table belt sander.

I drew a line where I wanted a slot cut to fit the chassis. I nailed a straight piece of mdf to the curve that will rode against the table saw's rip fence. I set the depth of the blade with some trial and error on a piece of scrap MDF.

I glued and nailed some straight pieces between the sides and smooth it all down on my belt sander. Total time was about an hour for the raw MDF cabinet. The veneer took serveral hours. Most of that time was waiting for the glue to dry before ironing the veneer on. The finish is DEFT semi-gloss lacquer.

Luther,

The wiring looks great!
That's always my favorite part about your projects....

How's it sound?

The underside also shows I did modify the wiring just ever so slightly.

I hit the road this weekend with the Quickie in hand headed to Weatherford Texas. This is just west of Fort Worth. It was well received and everyone was impressed with the sound and that batteries last a very long time.
