Voltage check issues

Hi all,

I'm just doing tests on my Stereomour II. Most of my voltages are correct, but I'm finding 36, 37, and 39 at ~29 volts dc as opposed to the ~58 expected. On the left side of the chassis, the 58 volts (61 here) are as expected.

Any ideas of where to look?

Best,

Nick

Set your meter to AC volts, put one probe on pin 1 and one probe on pin 4 of the 4 pin socket on the offending side, then let us know what AC voltage you see there.

Also double check that the capacitor next to the white cathode bias resistors by that socket is installed properly. If it's put in backwards, it will start dragging the bias voltage down until the cap explodes.

Also, what are the DC voltages at pins 2 and 3 on the 4 pin socket on that side of the amp?

Hi Paul,

I managed to fix this issue -- voltages are all correct now. There was a bit of debris between two points on the C socket.

Now, I have sound out of the left channel but none on the right. I will troubleshoot that this afternoon and trace my output wiring.
