The last coat of Polycrylic has dried so I thought I'd post some pics.  It's sounding great btw!

Beautiful work there Flaz... very clean all around.  did your finish the top plate too, or is it just the lighting in the second photo?

Thanks, I did give the top plate a good rub-down with some fine steel wool.

Nice job. congrats!   The unfinished top plates have looked finished (in white) in a lot of pictures I have seen.  Must be the lighting.   I didnt finish any of mine, I like them as is but was going to paint them anyway. My wife suggested that I leave them, she liked the look as well.    The only issues are the inherent imperfections.  They are pretty small though and they dont bother me.  You pretty much have to look for them.  I know that I would end up with OCD over any scratches that I would have inevitably ended up putting in the finish had I painted them.  That would have driven me crazy.  So leaving them alone was probably best for my sanity anyway

That is a fine job.  The wires are twisted and braided the way I prefer to do it, tightly. 

As impressed as I am with your build I am more impressed with your pegboard.  I would have one like that but I look out into the back yard through double windows in front of my work table.  Yes, of course I'm OCD, I'm an engineer!

Lol, yes for both; I'm only 15 min away from their location (Kimber Kables too) but eBay deals are hard to pass up
