Using external preamp / DAC with Stereomour - Is This Possible?

Hi Folks,

I have a Mk.1 Stereomour and wanted to try using the built-in DAC out of a McIntosh integrated amp and sending the signal from the pre-out straight into the RCA input on my Stereomour.

Currently I've just got an external DAC (no volume control) connected to the Stereomour input and I think it's the weak part in my signal path, hence the idea to use the McIntosh's built-in DAC.

Would love anyone's thoughts on this proposal.
