This thing was fun to build.

It's driving these monsters:

There is volume to spare, 3.5 watts is more than enough.

About the finish: The cabinet got a 1/4 rounding with a router, and then 4 coats of Varathane Gloss Polyurethane, lightly sanding between the 1st and 2nd coats only. Before the 3rd and 4th coats, I just gave it a rub with some printer paper to knock off any spikes and dust. No stain. The chassis is one (1!) coat of Rust-oleum Copper Hammertone. Thanks to Doc B for the tip on using that stuff lightly.

I'll post listening impressions in the Stereomour forum later on. (Spoiler alert: it sounds great!)

The copper hammertone is catching on as a favorite Bottlehead finish.  I used it on my Eros top plate, transformer end bell (like you) and the three tube shields.

That is a nice finish to your base too!

The only problem I see is that your speakers are too small (what? still no tongue-in-cheek smiley face).
