Sudden distortion

Crack went from sounding great to crap overnight.
The distortion is most noticeable with vocals, they sound almost like gargling if that makes sense.
Tubes or something else?

If it's both channels, it's unlikely to be a tube.  I would do a set of DC voltage checks just to be sure.

What you describe is how I would describe a bad solder joint.  If it's on both channels, that's how I would describe a bad solder joint on the ground buss.
