Smash Up Upgrade effect on output impedance

Does the upgrade change the 1.6 Kohm output impedance on the stock Smash?

Yes, the output impedance will pop up a bit, but not significantly.  (Around 2K IIRC)

The changes to the operating point and improved power supply circuitry are well worth a little additional output impedance.

I would say that the Smash-up is probably one of the most audible of our upgrade kits.
