i've found the microphonics issue tough to deal with. finally got some suggestions on this board to try adding weight to the top plate. a 3 lb hand weight worked very well but was awkward. just got this:

has a nice indentation so it fits right on top of the power trafo. so far i'm getting none of those nasty noises!
