Replacement Cap Question

I am planning to replace the stock .1uF, 630V cap om my 2.0 SEX amp. Can I use a lower voltage? Any recommendations what cap I could use?

Voltage rating is a good question, and something i've been curious about myself.

In theory 400v will work; in practice I won't recommend anything less than 600v.

The Kommie Kap Teflons come in 0.1uF rated at 600V and 500V (and 200V which won't help you).  They are very large but once broken in are sweet sounding.

Nope, but considering they're approx. 5 times more expensive than the KK teflons (and physically larger) I have to question the cost to performance.

Price wise the KK teflons are an anomaly. These aren't bad at $47 each vs $82 for the v-caps. In terms of size they are also smaller than the Russian teflons at 16x36mm vs 26x52mm.

The reason they caught my interest was the standard Metalized Polypropylene versions (black) used in the S.E.X. kit weren't bad, and i remember PB speaking highly of the Polypropylene Film & Tin Foil (white) versions. I think these are new as i have never seen them before, or heard any mention of them.
