Rega p3 + DL-301 mkii + ifi Zen Phono 3 + Yamaha s301

I've got the above setup and I'm thinking of getting the Eros 2 to replace the ifi Zen. I've done some sifting through the forums and it seems like the Eros 2 is compatible with this cartridge provided I install an SUT (i.e. LL9226). Is that generally correct?

The 301/2 has a 33 ohm internal impedance and a 0.4mV nominal output voltage. I have put together a number of tube phono preamps for that cartridge, and usually I use this transformer:

This will land the impedance reflected back to the cartridge right at about 330 ohms, which is desirable, and the 1:12 step-up helps a bit with the output level as well.

Yes, you just need to wire it the other way so it steps up.

There's a used Bottlehead Seduction down the street from me that I'm looking at. Can it be modded with an SUT to work with an MC cartridge?

You could add external step-up transformers, just be aware that the gain of the Seduction is quite a bit lower than the gain of the Eros.
