Reduction/Integration complete

Finished up the Reduction with Integration upgrade.  Case is the stock case from the Stereomour as I still need to work on that but it's been a bit chilly in the Midwest.

That is a tidy job you did there. What is that hookup wire underneath? It looks like it is wrapped. Well done.

Good looking work, like the wiring.
I see you used Sonicaps to replace the film caps - do they have a 0.03uF to replace the 3x0.01uF Daytons?

They have a .033uf.  That extra .003uf doesn't seem to hurt anything and it's much easier to install.

I asked the question earlier about using 0.033uF caps & PB's response was:
"Using 0.033uf will bump the EQ around a bit, so it's not recommended."

It's bumped - and still sounds great!

I make changes at my own risk but I don't recommend ever going against PB's or Doc's recommendations.

It's also pretty common to find 0.015uF caps, so two can be used to get your 0.03uF caps.

This would also give one the opportunity to measure each cap and come up with a combination that yields a matched pair.  (I typically do this when paralleling EQ caps)

Thanks for that info.
I have some 0.03uF 3% caps on order (along with some 100uF for the Crack), so I'll be trying those when they arrive.

What brand are you getting?  Always like to expand my cap knowledge.

Just put the TT on the Crack headphone amp...I might never take these off!!

It's finally warmed up enough to get some wood work done.  Cabinet is solid cherry with 1 coat of cherry stain to bring out the grain.  Then a couple layers of tung oil.
