Problems with the TRS Jack [solved]

Dear Bottleheadfans,

A few minutes ago, I finished my first Bottlehead Crack. I was extremely enthusiastic, because all the voltages Resistances an Voltages seemed ok, and after an eternity and some issues with the German customs authorities, I just wanted to finally listen to it. However my final test failed. As the topic says my TRS jack has some problematic voltages. The Ring Voltage rises from 0V to about 72V after the Crack is turned on, whereas the Tip Voltage stays at 0V throughout the testing....

I am very thankful for every idea, suggestion or solution to my problem

The 2.49K resistor connected to the ring isn't well connected.

Thank you, PB, Voltages are ok now, however, a problem occured during my first listening session: When I plug my headphone in completely, I can only hear a very low volume music signal from the right channel. When I pull the headphone plug out a little bit, I can only hear the left channel, but that one sounds great. I took a closer look at the wiring and resoldered some connections, but I still haven't found the mistake I made. Any suggestions?

It wouldn't be unreasonable to expect flaky solder joints elsewhere in the amp.

Thanks again!! I resoldered everything, that looked only slightly imperfect and got an even lower noise level on the left channel. Nevertheless I was almost at the edge of despair because the right channel did not work properly. As it turns out, my testing Headphone (HD598) stopped working during the tests (probably even before). I am so glad that my HD650 still work and that I can enjoy the great soundstage and openness of this gem of an amplifier
