Plate choke wires

The insulation on the wires on one of my plate chokes is cracked and split were it exits the plate choke. Is this a problem? Doesn't look good to me. I will try to attach a photo.

There is high voltage going through the choke. I wouldn't feel comfortable using that. You contact replacement parts at bottlehead.

We can certainly replace that.  As an alternative, you can purchase this product and apply a dab of this compound to the cracked area and it will be an acceptable repair:
