Perfect Combination!

Having a crack and a mainline here and enjoying them both.....I recently bought a new pair of Senn 600's ...why when I have T1's etc....LCD2's etc...I never have heard any Senns....with all the
stuff sbout the 650's and 800s...I decided to try this version thats been out there for 20 years as a icon and a classic to see what they sound like.

Well they arrived today and of course immediatley plugged them in to the mainline and they were ok and after an hour my poor little crack sitting there said "try me!!" and I did...

Wow!

Thes cans and the crack are absolutely spectacular!! Litterally amazing.

If I was to recommend a setup that would make 90% of headphone addicts very happy this would be it....condsidering the overall cost its a steal!!

Amazing how these older designed cans play so very very well with the Crack!!

I also have the Crack (with 1/2 Speedball upgrade, 5998 + Brimar 12AU7) and Mainline, and I have both the Senn HD600 and HD650. I agree with you about the Crack + HD600 combo. It really is wonderful. For the Mainline, the added mid-bass of the HD650 pairs well, as I find the Mainline bass a bit on the light side for my taste. I've read on these forums that Mundorf Supreme caps can add warmth, so I'm thinking of replacing the stock Mainline output caps with those.
