Paramounts in the Studio

Okay, I really should finish the bases! In the meantime, I narrowly escaped buying some powered mini monitors for my studio, by wedging in the JBL 4333a's and stashing the Paramounts under the table. Great sound, even though my main source is the headphone jack of my macbook. Hmmmmm, there's also a USB output.....:-)

I believe the headphone out functions as an optical out as well. If so get dac with optical input to feed your amps. Some of these dac's have volume control as well.

I agree about the place of honor, but it will have to be just acoustic for the moment and not visual, since space is at a premium! 3 S.E.X. amps on the way now, one of which will soon be joining the Paramounts in bi-amping the system.

Ahhhh, I wondered what you were doing with all that bamboo... What is the thing that looks like a small model engine, and what do you do with it?

Thats a sandpaper-based reed copier, with an adjustable round guide on the right and a rotating round abrasive surface on the left, which works a lot like a key-copying machine. The "bamboo" is really a grass, called "arundo donax", from which most musical instrument reeds are made.
