The output transformer in the kit is a 4K ohm. Anyone tried a different value? Does someone tried any Hammond output transformer?

P Paul Joppa Moderator Mar 15, 2012 #2 The Magnequest upgrade transformer is 3K, and some have used a 5K transformer. You will get better bass from a parafeed transformer than from a typical airgapped SE transformer.
