one side of Quickie not working [solved]

Hi,

I was listening to my Quickie tonight, and one side stopped working.  I swapped tubes (left and right) and still have a channel out.  Here are my voltage readings:

IA/IB 26.7 V / 26.7 V
A6 / B6 26.7 V /26.7 V
A5 / B5 200 mv / 200 mv (not sure about whether these are good measurements ; out of circuit the D cells measured 0.9V and 0.85V.  Are the D batteries dead??

Yup, it's time for a fresh set of batteries, all 6 of them.

What would happen if I just changed the D batteries?  The funny thing too is that if I turn the preamp on, the tube plays for a minute or two, then stops.. Does that still sound like batteries?  Thanks,

That is almost certainly batteries.

When the D cells go below 1v, the Q stops working. Change the 9v batteries once they fall below 24 volts.
