Hi everyone,
I’m building two Kaijus and have a fit issue with the chassis plates and wood bases. One base fits snug all around, need to tap into place, but the other plate won’t seat, it looks slightly wider on one side and binds at the corners.
Tight Fit

Will not fit

Before I start sanding or filing, what’s the safer move, relieve the inner wall of the wood base just below the bevel, or take a little off the metal edge that’s too wide?
Trying to keep the fit clean and even without messing up the bevel. Anyone run into this with a Kaiju plate?
Thanks for any advice!
